11th National Design Competition & Exhibition 2010

Dear art students,
the results for the 11th National Design Competition and Exhibition are out.
2 of our entries have been selected as finalist, please see below for more details:

You are required to attend an interview session with a panel of 4 judges from respective design industries on 23 July, Fri.

Venue: Conference Room, Bukit View Secondary School Regn : at least 15 minutes before each interview session

Interview slots are as follows:

Each finalist (individual or team) is given a MAXIMUM of 3 MINUTES TO PRESENT his/her design. Either a MULTIMEDIA presentation or simply the submission boards may be used to complement the presentation. Q&A by judges will follow after the presentation for about 2 MINUTES.

Due to time constraints as we aim to finish by 6pm, we seek your understanding by ensuring that the finalists strictly follow the given schedule.

We also apologise in advance that there will be NO RE-SCHEDULING of interview as the judges are only able to attend on this allocated date. Finalists will therefore no longer be eligible to compete for any of the awards if they are unable to attend this interview session.

Please prepare your script and/or powerpoint presentation.

Dear 3E4/3E5 Art Students,
please be informed that all the computer labs are fully booked during curriculum time.
Thus we will not be able to vectorised the logos as planned.
Plase bring your black sketchbook instead and we'll continue with our "Synergy" assignment.

Colour Pencils Rendering Workshop

Our invited student artist from last year's cohort, Huishan, returned to impart her impressive color pencils rendering skills to the 3E. She not only attained a A1 in Art but also 5 distinctions for her 'O' Levels, congratulations!

She will be here again next week before she enrol in JC. All art students, especially this year 'O' level cohort, please treasure the opportunity to pick up colour pencils rendering skills from her after school.

3E4/3E5 in action - Speed Drawing class

Our modified version of the Speed Drawing exercise. Students given 10 minutes to draw the still life set-up in front. After every 10 minutes, they will move to another "sketchbook"to continue what the previous student have drawn. We had fun and also build up our confidence in drawing.

Photoshop Tips & Tricks Workshop

There will be a Photoshop Workshop every Wednesday from 3:30pm to 5:30pm.
Interested students, please bring along a digital camera and a thumb drive.
